History

With the opening of Künstlerhaus Graz in 1952 an eighty-year-old dream of Styrian artists had finally come true. Since then the house has been at the disposal of visual artists without limitations. The Künstlerhaus has been a part of Universalmuseum Joanneum since 2003. Since 1977 special exhibitions for pupils have been organised beside the exhibitions of the art societies and Universalmuseum Joanneum.
